Steps to follow before applying for a visa.

Financial Instrument Details
Bank Statement Hold Period: Funds must have been held in the account for a continuous period of at least 3 consecutive months (90 days) immediately before the date of lodging the visa application.
Source: Funds must be genuine and readily available.
Unacceptable Funds: Property valuation certificates, retirement funds, and fixed deposits that cannot be liquidated are generally not accepted as proof of liquid funds.
Currency: Funds must be converted to Australian Dollars (AUD) on the date of application for assessment against the minimum living requirement.
Financial Requirement Duration
Visa Application Requirement: You must show funds covering your travel costs, first year of tuition, and the required 12 months of living costs (A$29,710).
Alternatively: You can provide proof of a yearly income that meets a higher threshold (see below).
Required Evidence of Financial Support (Sponsorship)
Sponsor: The funds can be in the name of the applicant, the applicant's spouse/partner, or the applicant's parents. In some cases, siblings or grandparents may be considered with sufficient legal evidence.
Required Documents:
Bank Balance Certificate / Bank Statements (3 months old).
Sponsorship Letter (from the sponsor).
Relationship Certificate with the sponsor.

Alternate Financial Proof (Annual Income Method)
Applicants may not need to show the 12 months of living expenses if they provide evidence of a high annual income:
Single Applicant (No Dependent): Proof of annual income of at least A$72,419.
With Dependent: Proof of annual income of at least A$84,334.
Income Source: Acceptable income sources include Business, Salary, Foreign income, and Rental Income.

Applying for a Letter of Offer (Admission)
This is the initial stage where the university assesses your eligibility.
Academic Transcript: Full academic record of subjects studied, grades, and marks achieved (Transcripts, Certificates, Diplomas from prior education).
Certificates to Confirm Qualifications: Final completion certificates for high school, degree, or highest qualification achieved.
Evidence of English Ability: Official scores for IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, or other approved tests (unless exempt).
Copy of Passport: Valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay.
Statement of Purpose (SOP): Essay detailing your academic background and career goals (Often used to draft the GS statement).
Reference Letters: Academic and/or professional reference letters (Recommended, especially for postgraduate studies).
Work Experience Letter: Required if there are significant gaps in study history.
FOR CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT (CoE)
Once the Letter of Offer is accepted, these documents are sent to the university to receive the CoE.
Payment Receipt: Proof of payment for the first semester/initial tuition fee deposit.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Proof of mandatory health insurance coverage for the full duration of the intended visa stay.
Signed Offer Letter: The official Letter of Offer accepted and signed by the applicant.
Financial Documents: (Depending on the university's internal assessment criteria): Bank statements, loan letters, or scholarship letters proving sufficient funds to cover the first year's tuition and living costs.
List of Necessary Documents for Visa Lodgement (Online via ImmiAccount)
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE): The electronic document issued by the CRICOS-registered provider (The CoE number must be entered in the online form).
Genuine Student (GS) Statement: A personal statement addressing the GS criteria questions in the online application (previously GTE). You must cover:
Your circumstances in your home country (ties to family, community, and economic circumstances).
Reasons for choosing the course, the Australian university, and Australia as a destination.
The value of the course to your future career.
Identity Documents:
Passport (bio page and all stamped pages).
Birth Certificate and National Identity Card.
Academic/English Documents: Academic Transcripts, Certificates, and English Language Proficiency Certificate (as used in the application).
Financial Evidence (If required by the online checklist tool):
Bank Statements: Must show history for a continuous period of at least 3 consecutive months (90 days) immediately before the visa application.
Education Loan Documents: Official loan sanction letter (if applicable).
Annual Income Proof: Official government documents (Tax Returns) proving annual income of A$87,856 (single) or A$102,500 (with family) (Alternative to showing 12 months of savings).
Health and Character Documents:
